Ways to Block Unwanted Emails on Outlook Mail

Mostly all types of emails are welcome in your Outlook inbox either they are junk or related to marketing. If you want to get rid of them, then you can add their email address or domain to the block list. To block someone you’ll need to use Outlook desktop version, through Outlook mobile app you can’t do this.
Steps to block and unblock an Individual Sender on Outlook
1.    Go to the ‘Message list.’
2.    Find and open the ‘Message’ you want to block from the sender.
3.    Select ‘Message’ from the Outlook menu bar.
4.    Select ‘Junk Mail.’
5.    Select ‘Block Sender.’
Selected Sender’s email address will be added to the blocked sender’s list of the outlook.
To unblock or restore from Junk Mail
If you want to restore any email address, you’d added to the junk email folder then here how to do this:
1.    Navigate to the junk emails folder.
2.    Click on the ‘Message’ that you want to restore.
3.    Click on ‘Home’ tab.
4.    Then click on ‘Junk.’
5.    And then select ‘Not Junk.’
The selected email will be move from Junk mails to your Outlook inbox.
Steps to Enable Automatic Junk Mail Filtering on Outlook
1.    Click on ‘Junk’ dropdown button.
2.    And select ‘Junk E-mail Options…’ from the dropdown menu.
3.    On the Junk Email Options window, click and choose a level of protection (Low, High, Safe, etc.) as you want.
4.    After selecting, click on ‘OK’ button.
Even after blocking someone on the outlook, emails of the blocked person will not filter out.
Step to Block Domain on Outlook
1.    Open ‘Outlook.com.’
2.    Click on ‘Settings’ (gear) icon near the top right corner of the screen.
3.    Click on ‘View full settings’ at the bottom of the settings menu.
4.    Click on ‘Junk email’ from the left side menu.
5.    Type the ‘Domain Name’ you want to block into the text field below Blocked domains heading.
6.    Click on ‘Add’ button.
7.    And then click on ‘Save’ button to finish.
The entered email domain will be added to your Outlook’s blocked list.
Steps to delete a Contact on Outlook
1.    Go to ‘www.outlook.com’ to launch Microsoft Outlook on your PC.
2.    Log in with your Outlook account, if you’re not.
To log in:
•    Click on ‘Sign In’ at the upper-right corner of the Outlook page.
•    On the next screen, provide your email and password and then sign in.
3.    Turn on ‘Outlook beta.’ Click the toggle switch of ‘Outlook beta’ at the top middle corner of the screen to turn it off and on.
4.    Now, click on the ‘Contacts’ icon from the bottom of the left side pane.
5.    Scroll to view the contact you want to block into the contact list.
6.    Click on the ‘Contact Name.’
7.    Click on ‘Delete’ button near the top of the screen.
8.    Again click ‘Delete’ on the confirming window to confirm.
The contact will be removed from your outlook contact list. It will take from an hour to some days to actively block a contact.
